I'm Thankful for our Family!

So November has been an exciting month for the family. We got to see Nick, Meadow, and the kids, which was an absolute delight. We hope to see them again soon for the holidays. They were all here to see their new baby cousin, Zachary Alexander Wilhelmsen, and to intruduce him to the family. Tressa was especially helpful with the new baby. She is a great big sister and cousin. Hyrum made an Ironman mask out of a crown turned upside down. He is very smart and creative. Nicholas is an expert at operating the fishing pole Mom got him. Unfortunately, it got left behind here at our house, but he can get it at Christmas time. Erica has been a huge help with the baby, holding him while I got some much-needed rest. She is a delight to have around. She is an awesome pianist, so I vote for her so that she and Ryan can lead us all in a jam session. She and Mike have helped us out through the lest leg of my pregnancy with tidying the house and always having an entertaining game of Five Crowns going. Dad was taking care of Adam Jack on Saturday and gave him this sweet hairdo after Dad got peed on (funny story- Missy forgot to put a diaper on him. Cute onsie and overalls, but going Commando underneath!) and slimed with blueberry yogurt- what a good sport!

Mom is officially the first member of the family to break a bone, and it was a doozy. I had just started having contractions, and was up in my bedroom. I knew Mom wanted to help, so I asked her to come upstairs. She must have thought I was actually birthing the baby, because she came racing up the stairs so fast that she rolled her foot and heard a bunch of cracking. She hardly missed a beat, and crawled up to my room to see what I needed, ready to deliver her grandchild if needed. We didn't know how serious it was because of the intensity of my labor. She even went back downstairs and started doing the dishes and shattered a glass on her hand. Mikey had to play doctor to her and force her to sit and settle down for awhile before any further damage was done. She is so sweet and selfless that she even came to the hospital at 1am to see if she could help. She should've stopped in at the x-ray department while she was there, but she didn't end up going to the doctor for several days after. The x-ray showed a huge diagonal crack on her outer foot bone. The poor dear is still hobbling around with it. At least she has a valid excuse to use sick leave while she is also here helping me with the baby. Poor Mom!
We love you all so much and hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and hopefully we can all be together again soon.
